Coffee:
Kiwi Café coffee is sourced through "K2" (place for an advertising spot from K2 here) a Restaurant and Café consultant and supplier, located in Bangkok.
Our coffee is 100% Arabica grown in Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand. This bold upfront, dark roasted coffee is unsurpassed in quality and flavour.
Coffee is produced using our Conti Coffee machine, and with highly trained staff, a perfect shot is attained every time.
Food:
Kiwi Café is unique in that it produces nothing but "farang food"
From the outset we decided not to try and compete with the other 300 local restaurants serving the local food".outside Thailand known as Thai food!!
Thai’s are discerning connoisseurs of food and can give an accurate description of all food put in front of them. Their palate is quite remarkable in that they can describe each flavour and taste. "Sweet, sour, bitter, strong, salty" plus innumerable other descriptors which have no English equivalent. Unfortunately, restaurants rise or fall on the quality of food produced. "Give a dog a bad name"
Our extensive menu is based around traditional café foods.
From gourmet pies to lasagna to macaroni cheese, to the ever popular banana split, Kiwi café serves a consistently high standard of food.
Chocolate Cake to die for. We have a unique recipe that was researched and developed over a long period of time. In fact I have never experienced a Chocolate cake as delicious as this one.
Kiwi café has also developed a uniquely flavoured Chocolate banana fudge cake. Again this recipe was researched and developed over an extensive period of time.
And so the Kiwi Café menu has developed. Armed with countless NZ recipe books and magazines along with the ever present internet, so the menu has evolved into a taste treat for all customers who visit.
Beverages:
Delicious coffee is our specialty. In fact our Café logo is “Treat Yourself”. This not only applies to our coffee, but also the extensive range of tropical fruit blends and shakes.
A growing specialty at Kiwi Café is our range of beer. We are proudly selling not only Thai beers, but also beer from Australia, America, Singapore, Ireland and Mexico. (In time, and a reduction on trade tariffs, we hope to sell Kiwi beer)
Care for a cocktail, we also have an extensive Cocktail menu.
The new up and coming drink in Thailand is wine. We are doing our bit to encourage local Thai’s to experience the fruits of Wine.
Wine is sold by the glass or bottle. Because Kiwi wines are virtually unobtainable, we are serving a range of Australian and South African Reds and Whites.
